School Supplies Already?!

I was in Wally World last weekend. Right up front, they have all the school supplies out. I just about freaked . . . wondering why they feel the need to put them out so friggin’ early! It’s only the middle of July! Summer is already short enough - then they have to go put the school supplies out so early.

Then I realized I only have 3 weeks in which to purchase said school supplies for Dude.

***Sigh***

There’s so much more I want to do yet this summer!!!

    The summer is rushing by and since we just migrated to another state (in which school starts back quicker than in NY) we are down to a couple of weeks to get to know the area, get supplies, find a school, enroll kids, oh yea and try to fit in some summer vacation stuff!

    This will be my first year buying school supplies — and I have to admit, I’m excited about it!

    I always loved school supply shopping when I was in school. The smell of everything new — pencils, backpacks, crayons, etc — it was wondrous!!

    Although now that I actually have to be the one PAYING for it, it might lose some of its excitement.
