We had parentt/teacher conferences with Dude’s teachers last week. I brought up the spelling issues. They said to keep working with him, but it really was not a big deal because there are so many tools available to help with spelling now. They also said that the thing that matters on the tests is if his incorrect spelling gets in the way of what he is trying to say. If it doesn’t, then it is not a big deal.

So wreid! I cluod tloatly raed taht whituot a pbreolm!
I read it too but am too lazy to write like that!
I could totally read it- but I thought it was the first grade teacher/second grade teacher in me. Guess not!
Sounds like he takes after his dad! (This is from a story I heard. Something about a notebook that Robert was yelled at for until they found words mispelled…)
That was fun. I think I am going to submit my next benefits proposal like that. I dont’ think anyone tries to read them anyway. They just come back denied.
