My ex-partner and I did NOT have them and that (among MANY other things) pushed us very far apart when our daughter was young. We should have made them a priority. This weekend my fiance and I went to see a local musical theatre production of "The Full Monty" It was fabulous!!!! Date nights are very important! Now my 2 year old decided she LOVES hockey. She is so well behaved and so interested in the games; Not to mention hilarious. Its so wonderful sharing something we love so much with her. He actually got off early so we were at a restaurant before 5:00 even though it didn't open until 5:00. So we sat outside on a bench and watched the cars go by. How relaxing! When they did open we were the only ones in there. We actually talked! Whoa!! Full conversations!!! And when we were done eating it was like - wow, this is really relaxing just sitting here! Since we couldn't come up with any other errands we needed to do together we decided to go home. But I think we need to do this more often and maybe we will get a lot more accomplished!
