Spooooooookkkyyyyy!!!
Election? What election? Is there an election going on? I wouldn’t know, because I’m refusing to watch TV. So here, look at the monkey! Shiny object!!! Scary Pumpkins . . . Cute kids . . . Fun Adults!!!
Princess would like nothing more than to have a kitty. She’s not getting one, although I have come very close to letting her have one on a few occassions!
Dude made a scary pirate skeleton! No, we’re not real creative on our own . . . we did use templates this year.
I’m not sure what this is “called” but it’s the one that Hubby did.
And mine
I always end up doing words on mine.
And on to the costumes! Princess just HAD to be a pink unicorn. You may or may not remember this post on how we came to choose said unicorn. We of course had to become as pink as possible . . . with the dress, pants, socks, shoes, and even the crown and earrings. But she sure did make a cute pink unicorn!
Dude has been DYING to be a ninja since last Halloween . . . and here he is in all of his scary Ninja glory. I think he pulled it off well!
Hubby and I were challenged with choosing costumes that were kid, office, and adult appropriate. Hence, the Hippie and the Bumble Bee
We don’t live in a trick-or-treat friendly neighborhood . . . no sidewalks, no streetlights, forest . . . mountain lions. So we always go to a friend’s house for Halloween and trick or treating. Here are 6 of the 8 kids . . . the boys and my little princess
Add the other 2 kids and you add 2 more boys in boy costumes . . . so Princess is still the only pink one of the bunch
I laughed my a$$ off when the cone heads showed up!
I vant to suck your blood! These are our party hosts
The dice people! Having been a box before, I saw the flaws in the great costume - you either have your arms down low enough so you can feel them after a while, or you have them high enough that you can drink and eat.
Clearly they chose to have their hands up high enough to drink
The next night we went to an adults only party at the neighbor’s house. There were a ton of great costumes and fun people . . . many of which I can’t post on my family friendly blog
Here are our hosts Captain and Mrs. Morgan.
Super heroes!!!
Tony and Jessica
The Burger King and his Queen
And finally, Michael Phelps in 2012 and the pumpkin man. Two men . . . in spandex . . . singing karaoke. It doesn’t get much better than that!
I hope you all had a great Halloween! We had a blast ![]()

That last photo is PRICELESS!!!
I was thoroughly disappointed in Michael Phelps. I’d had him built up in my mind as a really big, fat guy….in little bike shorts. “Redneck Mike”, if you will.
Although…it did take some guts!
LOL! You guys look great! I especially like Captain Jack!
OMG!!!! I can’t believe hubby was the hippie and a great hippie too!!!!!!!!! Both Princess, Dude, and yourself look great too!!! But…I have to give hubby 1st place out of all the costumes you posted, he really looked like a natural in that costume. I’m so glad that you and hubby participate in costume parties. What fun!!! Love…Mom
Aw man…no cat woman or playboy bunny in stilettos costumes??!!
bumblebee…..psh!
I was looking for the pink unicorn SHOES! They were a very important part of the costume in Sept!
Great Costumes!
Oh, I loved looking at all the fun and cute costumes!! The pumpkins were great too - WOW!
Have a good Friday - Kellan
wow — you all looked SO GREAT! we had a halloween party too (on the staurday) and most everybody dressed up, but not many people went as ‘all out’ as the people at your party.
so much fun!!
