#1 Song On Your Special Day
What was the number one song on the day you were born? Go here to find out! And please share
Mine was Baby Don’t Get Hooked On Me by Mac Davis! I knew every other song on the list for my birth date in the 70s, but not that one!

I’d forgotten about Mac Davis. At the risk of revealing how (very) old I am: Simon & Garfunkle’s Mrs. Robinson was mine.
Staying with the Mac theme, Mack the Knife by Bobby Darin would be my birthday’s #1 song.
Why are these the songs that get stuck in your head, playing over and over and over until you want to scream?!
Honestly, this is one catchy tune. I can see why it made it to #1 with a bullet. Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBTITHA8twI and soon, you too will be a snappin’ your fingers!!
PERFECT!!! “I can’t get no satisfaction” by the Stones. Yeah, baby. July 15, 1965 was a rockin’ day in history.
“…but he can’t be a man, ‘cuz he doesn’t smoke the same cigarettes as me. I can’t get no — No No No.”
Oh, and let’s not poo poo Mac Davis. Aside from being the only performer Neal Sadaka swore I would never write a song for (who else can make that claim to fame?), Mac starred in one of the greatest football movies of all time, opposite a young, not-so-gravelly-voiced Nick Nolte, “North Dallas Forty.”
Man Thom! You always get the good ones!!! Gotta love the 60s - or is that not REALLY your birthday? You are turning 38 on August 16th this year, aren’t you?
