$60,745 – Revisited

Originally posted February 7, 2013

Last night, while sitting at the Y for swim team lessons for the bazillionth day/hour in the past year, I got tired of working, reading, playing Scrabble.

So I built my dream car.

It’s only $60,745.

I’ve wanted this car since I was 25.

In my mind, it’s kinda like a tattoo… I wanted it when I was 18, but waited until I was 25. I still wanted it, so I got it.

I’ve wanted this car since I was 25. I’ve waited until I’m 40 and I still want it . . .

Somehow, I don’t think this will end as happily as my tattoo hold-out did.

Um – it turned out :-) This beauty is now living comfortably in my garage, right behind my Highlander. Woot woot!

It is not new and it cost nowhere┬áNEAR the price in the title . . . but it’s beautiful and fun and shiny and fun and awesome and – did I mention fun? Now to figure out how to keep a black car looking clean when you live on a gravel road!

I guess I have never had a desire to have a particular “dream car” or “dream house” or anything dream really altho I know many other people do. Perhaps I’m a little too analytical. Hope your dream comes true!!! Love…Mom

I am soooooo happy for you and just goes to show that sometimes dreams do come true!! How to live on a long gravel driveway/road and keep it clean…be prepared to run it thru a car wash close to your home every time you drive it so you are showing it off to its fullest extent!! Love…Mom

Lucky you! Enjoy every opportunity you get with it! Somebody loves you! I guess you have a mother and a mother-in-law that are analytical!

Hot damn Jodie! Well, you deserve it. I think it’s important to have dreams, even if they seem unattainable. You just never know…
