Does it ALWAYS have to be the Cubs? I mean, there are 29 other teams to choose from when ordering uniforms for the little people!
The first year my little Dude played organized baseball for the YMCA, his team was the New York Mets. We thought YAY - how fun . . . his first team hat - it didn’t matter what it said
It was a real live baseball hat!

The next year, my little Dude decided to play Little League, and since he was in the coach pitch league, they got to be a AA team - the Trenton Thunder - which Dude thought was really cool because the logo was fun AND his new school was also the Thunder - YAY!

That year, we also signed him up for YMCA baseball after Little League was over so he could play in the machine pitch league. This is where the “trouble” started. His team was the Cubs. That was fun - everybody knows the Cubbies, right?

This spring, we signed him up for Little League again, in the Kid Pitch age group. We showed up at the first night of practice, and I’ll give you one guess what his hat and t-shirt said. Yup - Cubs. Once again, he was a Cub. The cool part was that I could wear one of his hats to be an official fan while he wore the other
Both Dude and Princess wanted to play YMCA baseball this year as well, so we signed them up. Princess is playing on a coach pitch team and Dude is playing in machine pitch again. Princess’ team didn’t have a coach, and the YMCA came calling. I kept to my New Year’s Resolution and waited 48 hours before responding . . . nobody else volunteered. So, I volunteered, figuring this was my chance to get a new Twins hat - OK, that’s not the only reason - I actually really do love baseball and coaching 7-8 year olds will be a blast :-) I requested the Twins - they took a note. I eagerly went to the coaches meeting on Saturday to hear the YMCA shpeel and pick up my awesome new team hats.

I was so excited to see that my team hats were indeed Red, White, and Blue . . . however, there was one problem - they forgot to put the T on the hat with the C!
Anyone figured out what my problem is? Yup - we are once again the Cubs

We now officially own more Cubs hats and shirts than Twins hats and shirts . . . which really is just wrong. Can’t wait until Tuesday to see what Dude’s team hat says!
I think I’ll wear my Twins shirts to practices and games anyway just to protest.
That is really funny!!! Love…mom
