Hubby and I found this new retro dry goods store in our little town . . . we LOVE it! Its got an antique candy area where you can buy one Bit O Honey for 1 penny, actual big metal Slinkies that will actually walk down stairs, metal lunch boxes without a zipper or cold pouch in sight, real live wooden Tinker Toys, 4 different “brands” of candy cigarettes, and this . . .
Oh yes, this yummy goodness is available for purchase in a single bottle, 6 pack, 12 pack, or by the case. OR, if you’re really feeling nostalgic, you can mix it with any of a number of other awesomely fun old-tyme flavors such as these:

I have yet to find the old top open bottle cooler like the one I used to get bottles out of at the Barber Shop with my Dad on Saturday mornings, but the soda tastes so yummy no matter where I may have bought it
What’s your favorite nostalgic soda?
There is a toy store here that has some of the goodies you mentioned. One of my favorites - zotz candy. Love the comment about the many brands of candy cigs.
Made me smile.
My favorite nostalgic soda? When I was growing up, there was a place called The Dash Inn. Slogan - Dash out to the Dash Inn………….. Pretty clever for Western Nebraska. Anyway, they had this drink called a Hot n Tot. Good ol’ Coca Cola with some cinnamon in it. I have tried to duplicate this lovely concoction (sp?) but, *sigh* have not been able to. Guess I will have to search and find some bubble up.
Ooooh - the Hot n Tot . . . I’m going to have to try that! Getting the right proportions could be tricky - but it sounds yummy! Coke and Hot 100 . . . yummy!
Yes, maybe I will have to try again…………….. The last time I tried to make one was, hmmmmm several years ago. Coffee syrup/flavoring was not really popular, and maybe that will work.
When I was a kid the highlight of our week during the summer was my mom and dad taking us to the A&W drive-in where they would order a root beer for themselves and all of us kids who were under age 7 would get a “baby rootbeer” free (the free baby rootbeers were the only reason we got to go…otherwise my folks could not have afforded to take all of us). YUM!!! Love…Mom
