Even when Princess is a PITA, she is also a huge sweetie ![]()
One thing I’ve never been able to do is sing. I always wanted to be able to sing. But I’m terrible. In elementary school, I volunteered to learn all the songs for our program in sign language so I could sign them with my deaf friend at the Christmas Program instead of sing them. I spent recess for 3 weeks inside learning to sign Silent Night, God Rest Ye Marry Gentlemen, and Oh Little Town of Bethlehem.
The other day on the way home from school, Princess and I heard “All I Want For Christmas” by Mariah Carey, for like the gazillionth time. I was singing the parts I knew. I stopped when I didn’t know the words.
Princess said “Keep singing, Mommy!”
I told her I didn’t know the words to that part.
She said “I don’t care. Just sing any words you know. You sing pretty and I like to hear you sing!”
Oh how that girl knows how to work it
She is soooooo sweet!!! While I don’t expect you to be releasing a top 10 hit anytime soon I also don’t recall you ever being a bad singer. Sing sing sing because it is a tension reliever and makes people feel good and that is what is important!!! Love you…mom.
She is actually wise beyond her years because truly the beautiful thing about singing lies in the enjoyment of singing…
Awww….she’s scoring some brownie points, that’s for sure!
Now … that is a sweet story!!
Have a good week - Kellan
MAN! All I get is …..”MOM! PLEASE STOP! For the love of GOD…STOP!”
That is so sweet!
Usually I’m just a lurker and not a commenter, but maybe it’s time I came out of the shadows.
Could her sweetness have anything to do with the previously mentioned anonymous letter from the big guy?
PITA. *giggle* PITA. *giggle*
I’ve never seen that before.
*giggle*
I like it!
What a sweetie!
I sing to Pufferfish a lot in the car (mainly to keep her awake) and she always says, “More, more,” when I stop. Half the time I’m just randomly making up the words! Really boosts the old ego, right?
