Why, you ask, am I stupid?
Because I have a To Do list a mile long and didn’t cross anything off of it last night.
Why, you ask, did I not cross anything off of it?
Because I worked on a friggin’ PUZZLE for 4 hours! Yup, you read that right. When the inlaws were here, Grandpa, Dude, and I started a puzzle - a 750 piecer. When the inlaws left, it was about 1/2 done. It was sitting on my kitchen table. I can’t stand clutter (and I LOVE puzzles) . . . so, I worked on that thing from the minute dinner was over until 10:30 p.m.
I finished it. Woo hoo!
So, I’m stupid. I may have finished a puzzle, but I still have a growing To Do list and a shrinking time-frame in which to complete it.
Maybe I can say that finishing the puzzle was one item crossed off of my to do list . . . ya, that’s what I’ll do.
Aha - that means my Christmas cards are going out before yours for once!
Oh yes Deb . . . your cards will most definitely be out before mine this year. Mine might be a Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day card
Working on puzzles keeps your mind sharp. So, jsut think of it like that. You sharpened your mind for four hours, so you’d be ready and able to tackle that To Do list later!
I think it is great that you take the time to do things like puzzles and the items on your to-do list will still be there. I think that doing fun or relaxing things and maintaining your sanity is smart!! Love…Mom
