Is This What It’s Like To Be Old?

This must be some kind of cruel joke. Queen Taunya and I share everything - including our brain (she had custody last week!). Our birthdays are 3 days apart, and this year, we apparently decided to share being sick on our birthdays!

So ya - today is my 37th birthday and I’ve had this nasty plague-like cold/cough/chest thing for 10 days now!

This must be life’s way of saying “That’s it, you’re done. No more acting like a teenager. You are officially old and I’m going to make you FEEL like you’re old!”

I’ve only been 37 for 8 hours, but so far, 37 is kicking my ass!

LOL! Be glad it’s only a cold, wait until you hit 40! That’s when the real fun begins! I live for pain killers! LOL!

Ugh- no fun being sick on your birthday- there should be a rule against that. I have the same plague like illness so I know how you’re feeling.

You are just a sweet young thing. I am sorry that you are so sick. You should be out and expecting everyone to remember you and buy you a drink. Here’s to you!!!
Wait until you are sixty. Then it is really over!!!! I am in bed at night, maybe three AM, and I am arguing with myself about if I am too tired to get up to go to the bathroom. I sometimes wait it out to see if it will go away. Now, THAT IS OLD.

Refer to posts 85 minutes & Just say No. There could be some clues in there. And tell Sue I am only 38 and I have been trying that bathroom trick since I was 16. When will someone invent the bed that opens up so you can just go right there.

Trust me…you are not old!!! 37 is a great age, 40 is a great age, 50 is a great age, and I am confident that 60 will be a great age for me in January. And this is for certain…every age presents the opportunity for excitement, learning, fun, growth, and new adventures. Just jump in there and take advantage of every positive opportunity that comes along. Love you…mom
