I may be a founding member of Advanced Planners Anonymous, but that’s only because I was the first to admit that I have a problem. This curse of mine was definitely handed down to me from my mother (hi, Mom!).
My Mom, SIL, and I have just finalized plans for a mini-family reunion with 7 adults and 2 children . . . for the week of July 18th. We have a place to stay and everything.
Oh, did I mention that it’s in July of 2010?!
The next APA meeting will take place on the 3rd Thursday of June, 2009. I expect you all to be there.

I am terrified about planning. That’s why I pack sixteen suitcases for a three day trip. I can’t decide what I am going to need. Do you give lessons on planning ahead?

One more time…I have to admit that you most likely inherited APA from me along with being an over-achiever. However, there are worse things you could have inherited!! I am an APA because I like to wrap things up and be able to move on and not worry about them. Just makes my life simpler if there aren’t loose ends hanging around out there. Also, I don’t like to wait until later and find that the vacation place I wanted is already taken by another APA. Love…Mom

I think you are blessed to have inherited that quality from your wonderful mom. It could be a lot worse. You could have inherited the quality that drove you to beg your husband, in later years, to haul a hot tub across country!! Some people are always trying to make someone happy. Silly things like throwing money in someone’s bed, now what’s with that? Just trying to make their day a little bit more fun! God bless your mother.
