I took the kids to visit a friend and their brand new baby yesterday.
Dude was TOTALLY in love with the baby! He could have sat there and started at her forever . . . he kept saying how small everything was and how cute she was and how he wished he could hold her and change her diaper.
Then this conversation happened:
Dude: Mom, can you have another baby? And can you make it a boy this time?
Princess: No, make it a girl!
They continued on with this argument for quite a while . . . at the house and in the car on the way home . . . like they got to make this decision and I had nothing to do with it.
Um, I hate to burst their bubble, but we are NOT having another baby. Ever.
They were CRUSHED that I wouldn’t even consider it.
Next time I take them to see her, she better be unhappy and crying and have diarrhea - not sleeping.
I’m voting with the kids…I think you should have another baby too!!! Love…Mom
My mom had eleven, Jake, my brother had eight, Marie Helen had five, Curly had five, Ken had four so you could give us maybe two more. The first two are so fabulous. If I had stopped at two, I would not have been blessed with Dino!
Or, offer to babysit and pinch the baby once and awhile.
That is so fuuny. I can totally hear the conversation.
I’m with you - stick with 2! I say that because I don’t anyone telling me to have more either! It’s NOT happening! But I do love the occasional baby sitting I get to do so I get my fix that way. And I am usually quite happy to hand them over again when I am done!
I’m totally willing to donate my baby girl to your cause. Hows about I drop her off for a crying session and you teach me how to snowboard? Huh? HUH?
But that’s the beauty of friends with baby sibling. They can get there fix through them. =)
