Spring Soccer in the Rockies

Well, soccer started Thursday, right on schedule :-) Ya gotta be ready for anything in April! Keira did not wear a princess dress - it was snowing - but she did put on long underwear to be warm :-) I suggested that maybe she would want to put some pants on over her long underwear ;-)

Keira Ready for Cold Soccer

Coach Nick is great with the girls - they had a great time, even in the cold snowy weather!

Getting Warm

Here are the Ladybugs/Wild Ponies (they’ll choose next week) at the end of practice :-)

Team

Being the Minnesotan that I am, I love the snow! But, I do hope it’s a bit warmer next week - just warm enough so the snow doesn’t stick to their soccer balls and start making snowman parts as they dribble down the field :-)

We FINally got rid of all that nasty white stuff here in Michigan! Unlike you I HATE winter! Love the photo!

I love the big smile on her face…how cute! I have come to hate the snow and cold more and more each year. I waste most of November through March wishing for spring to arrive!

I thought it was cold at our first practice this week! Yikes!

Cute picture. I can relate to the snow. As I right this in Central Vermont it’s snowing outside, big fat flakes. Here they say it’s ’sugar snow’ to help make the sap run and the maple syrup makers happy. Still, I was excited about it in December. Now I’d REALLY like to see some green grass. My 7 year old has a new pogo stick that she can’t use yet. Need more snow to melt in the driveway!

We had snow this past weekend as well and in Seattle it’s a rarity that we get it at all! There is still a remnant of a big snowball in the backyard. I loved the snow - the big fat flakes were amazing! But, I don’t like the chilly weather. I am ready for spring.
